INTERNATIONAL CHARITY SUPPORTS SHREWSBURY
A new international charity, Build It International, is the latest company to sign up for space in Shrewsbury’s new Environmental Technology Centre. Formed in 2006 the charity supports the construction of primary schools and low cost housing in Zambia and other African countries.
Director Andrew Jowett commented “We are pleased to be moving into this fantastic building as it reinforces our commitment to sustainable buildings and an innovative approach. Energy efficiency, rain water harvesting, good design and affordability are all objectives for our work with poor people in Africa so it’s great to be able to enjoy the same here in Shrewsbury.”
David Griffiths, Destination Shrewsbury Manager, commented “We are attracting an interesting mix of companies who operate internationally from a Shrewsbury base and I am sure this will add to our reputation as being a centre for environmental excellence.”
